My Dad was diagnosed with Lung Cancer on the 20th Nov 2014 and passed away on the 3rd Dec 2014. My Dad had no idea he had cancer and remained well up until October last year. The cancer was so advanced there was nothing doctors could do to save him. This is such a cruel disease that takes loved ones from us so quickly. My dad was only 71 and had a very active life. Losing him has been one of the worst experiences of my life. Our family and friends donated over 700 pounds at the funeral to raise money for the Roy Castle lung cancer foundation. What a lovely tribute. There needs to be more research into earlier diagnosis of lung cancer. This silent but deadly disease desperatley needs charities like this to fund and support research. I will continue to raise money for such a worthy cause in my dads memory.
